Description
This laser etched zimmerit set reproduces the pattern as seen on Tiger II (KingTiger) tanks built with the Porsche factory turret.
There are two commonly seen variations of the pattern on the front and rear of the turret.
This set we're identifying as "Version A" with the notable detail of vertical ribbing above the mantlet and the rear hatch plate.
With this version you can choose to replicate a particular tank as seen in a period photo.
The set includes an extra panels of material for experimenting or customizing to match a particular tank, as well as two pieces for covering the ball mount MG bulge, so you can get used to forming the paper over a compound curve. So the pressure will be off for that detail.
This set was designed to fit Tamiya's 1/48 scale kit.
As with our other zimmerit sets, working with this product will make the process of applying zimmerit to your model fast and enjoyable. No special tools, primers, glues are needed as the paper adheres easily to the model using thinned white glue (PVA) applied with a brush or from the bottle. Battle damage is easily added with the edge of a sharp blade. The scale thickness is accurate and even the raw material color is a good match for the original compound.
