This set is designed to fit the Forces of Valor 1/32 scale Sturmgeschutz III model. If you collect "Toy Soldiers" or work with figures produced in 1/32 scale, you know that 1/35 scale tanks don't really work with them and the Stug III fills a void there.
This laser etched paper zimmerit set allows you to add the specialized coating seen in so many wartime photos of this tank destroyer, especially if you want to achieve the zimmerit effect in an easy process.
The pattern replicates the distinct "waffle" look of the Alkett tank factory production process.
No special tools or glues are needed. If you spray the model with aerosol primer, you can attach the zimmerit pieces with white glue (PVA). If you want to add the zimmerit directly to the tank as purchased, you can a variety of glues you have on hand, including spray adhesive but we don't recommend using super glue (CA) as it won't allow any time to position the pieces and will soak into the paper.
The set comes with optional panels for adding directly to the model as is, with holes cut to fit around the bolt heads for the hull added armor.
Or you can cut off the molded on bolt heads and apply the pieces without the holes to get a more historically accurate look.
You can easily add chips and battle damage before or after applying the zimmerit to the model using an x-acto blade.
