In the first part of this article, I mentioned that I began the project without really knowing how I was going to complete it. I did decide that I needed a figure to make a better composition but I wasn't sure what figure to use. The small steps taken in detailing the scene, really made the decisions for me.
I knew I wanted to make use of some of the new wall signs and the "potabile" sign above the well was an easy decision. Since the sign was in Italian, I had therefore, established a location for the scene. I knew I needed to ad a vertical element and the light pole seemed a more interesting choice than a telephone pole or a tree. When I determined the height of the pole, it became clear that I needed to ad a sign to it, to keep your eye moving and to better connect the elements. The "Post Office" sign was a good choice because of it's size and it would be a logical place for a sign with a directional arrow on it. The "Weapons Workshop" sign came from our ad in a past issue of Tamiya Magazine. It was included at the last moment to add a little more interest.

This photo shows the whole scene. It's a little more interesting than having the composition stop at the top of the wall.

This photo shows the scene with the lamp on. In a dark room, the lamp gives off a nice amount light. Exactly what you would need in a village at night, while getting water. In a photograph, it doesn't seem that interesting. I include this photo to show the light does work but thankfully, the vignette does not depend upon it to be complete. The photo was taken in dim light, maybe close to what dusk might look like.
