This small boat kit is based on an example seen on Lake Como, Italy. We're not sure of the technical or official name for a boat of this design but similar looking craft are identified as a Skif or a Punt. It is some sort of "working boat" or "tender" for a larger vessel perhaps. In any case, it makes a great subject for civilian or military scenes from almost any era in the last 100 years, up to the present. This small boat is an opportunity to add some color to a scene and can fill up a corner of a vignette, be loaded onto a trailer or vehicle and certainly be depicted sitting in water.
The boat kit was designed with 1/35-1/32 scale figures in mind but a 1/24 scale figure could also fit in it and look true to scale. The photos show the boat with examples of both scale figures so you can get an idea of how they fit.
As with all of our laser cut kits, no special tools, adhesives or paints are required to assemble and finish this boat. Ordinary white glue (PVA) and water based or enamel paints are all you need besides a sharp blade to cut the parts from the card.
This kit will ship worldwide for $1.00 in a business sized envelope.
