The first photo here shows the completed coat of Green camouflage. I decided to only apply the camouflage to the drive sprocket because it has a good size surface area and I reasoned that the road wheels would be covered with dirt and mud most of the time in real life. I also decided not to camouflage the gun and gun shield to add a little interest to the scheme. The story might be that the hull was quickly painted while the gun was hoisted out for maintenance or perhaps the gun was fitted in later as a replacement, after the camouflage painting.

The second photo shows the start of the Brown camouflage.
The color in these photos tends to vary because I took them in my workshop and wasn't making the effort to create a studio type of condition. You are still able to see the evolution and contrast of the colors.

The third photo shows the complete coat of Brown. The tank looks pretty scary at this point but the weathering process really ties all the colors together. I didn't put the camouflage colors on the little bit of flat area where the driver hatch is. I thought this would help to keep your eye moving and would also be unnecessary as the tank would be viewed from ground level.
The real fun begins in part 2- Normandy Wespe Finished.
