    Here are some more photos of the finished tank.

    I am intrigued by the idea of Panther tanks fighting in the streets of Paris and I based my diorama on that premise. When the Allied approach was imminent, the Resistance went about tearing up paving stones and tree grates, along with all kinds of other objects, in order to make road blocks and to effectively steer Germans into areas for ambush. Some efforts worked better than others and a Panther tank would certainly not have been concerned with the makeshift barricades.

    Besides the phone lines from plastic coated wire, I used some tree grates, a shutter and some pavers cut from dense foam to create the environment.

    Now, I have to decide if I will ever build and paint a Panther tank set in the Ardennes...
