    This page shows some more photos of the Volkswagen and it's details.

    I set it on a "Sunken Road" base to be able to get some all around photos.

    This photo shows a hand written sign on the rear lid "LEFT HAND DRIVE NO SIGNAL" copied from a photo in a 1947 National Geographic article of a couple on a caravan through Afghanistan.
    This view also shows the rolled tent and the cut open driver's door.

    This photo is one of the reference images I used for weathering the Volkswagen. An easy subject to document today, although I took this shot about 25 years ago, never dreaming it would come in handy as help for this vignette.
