This final page shows some miscellaneous photos that didn't fit on other pages, such as the luggage on top of the car. The back seat was also crammed with bundles and clothing.

The replaced rear tire with the resin casting.

The battery setup. It is more of a novelty element in this scene. I went ahead with it because I had room in the back, the lamp was already wired when I bought it and I like to keep learning about adding an electrical component to my projects.

This last photo tells the story. The paper label was added to to lower right of the front.

This was a fun project because it took some research and artistic evaluation with almost every step. It is admittedly more fantasy than history but not getting too bogged down in details is what kept it moving along and enjoyable. There was a lot of problem solving of a good type and it was easy and a conscious decision to try to use kits and pieces I already had at hand.

For anyone thinking it would be fun to experiment with the North African Street Scene kit, we have some limited numbers of kits available that are cast in brown resin. These kits have been held as "second quality" and only sold at shows because the resin has a slight smell when first opened from it's bag and I didn't want people to have to deal with it. These kits sell well at shows where people can assess the parts and are aware of the smell. In our experience, the smell goes away as the parts are exposed to air and certainly after they have been primed with aerosol paint.

We're offering this particular kit at a discount while supplies last. Look for it on our SPECIALS page.
