The first photo shows the rugs and the fire wood for sale. The rugs are from our "Woven Mats" and I almost didn't include them as the spot on the wall was a perfect place for our "Provencal Well" kit. I ultimately didn't think the location would be ideal for a public fountain and the rugs were something the shop might sell. The photos on the door depict an Afghani tribal leader who would have still been held in reverence.

The second photo shows the cobblestone casting I used to elevate the building facade. I applied spackle randomly over the stones to help hide the large seam and unify the two pieces. The awning over the doorway was made by vacu-forming of a sort. The shape was carved from a scrap of dense foam but could have been made from balsa wood also. I cut a hole in a piece of 1/8" masonite that was a little larger than the shape. I used double sided tape to stick a square of thin styrene over the hole. I heated the piece of styrene with a heat gun until it started to relax and sag then pushed the carved piece into it as it stretched and conformed. That process worked well because I was able to sculpt in some form to the piece but it is a multi-step process and not always successful on the first try.

The third image suffers from poor depth of field but it shows the random look of the line of the facades. The lamp is a model railroad accessory.

The corrugated metal awning was made by forming pieces of "black wrap", between two pieces of ribbed styrene. This is more substantial than kitchen foil and is used by set lighting professionals.
