This page shows some photos of the graphic elements that help tell the story. The first photo is the low wall across from the shop. The images of the apples and oranges were found on the internet and sized, modified and printed. The paper had to be sanded from the backside to try to get it a more scale thickness. I cut the images a little larger than needed and rubbed them on an emory board. The images were faded in Photoshop but I also washed them with some pastel after they were glued to the wall. They needed to look somewhat sun bleached and like they could have been pulled from some crates.

This photo shows the bundles of bananas as well as some of the farsi on the shop wall. The chair is from our "Table Top Game" kit.

This photo shows the only concession to progress and western influence with a "telephone" sign from our "Military Signs" set.
The insulators are two sizes of glass beads. The balcony railing is a laser cut scrap left from another project. The phone lines are pliable plastic line and solder.

The last photo shows the wall graphic. I found the banana image on the internet and printed it at the right size to determine how much detail I needed to include in the painting. Using the image as a guide, I hand painted the bananas on the wall after painting the white background. The red arrow was hand painted and the farsi was then rubbed down.
